Now at Wuhan College of Foreign Languages & Foreign Affairs. Since moving onto campus the time has been taken up with medical checks, police registration, Z visa completion and familiarisation of the area. Text books collected and school schedules settled; 8 x 90 minute classes equals a 12 hour working week with Tuesdays, Sat & Sun free. Now finished my first week of teaching Freshman (First Year students) and they are all very smart and friendly - a real pleasure to be with. The 280 brown-eyed students - mostly girls, are all Majoring in English which gives them a better than average chance of obtaining work after graduation. A late start to the teaching year for me as these Freshman completed a few weeks of Military training and then had another weeks break with the autumn/National day holidays. I'm looking forward to having a great year of work and fun with these young enthusiastic students and also learning customs and traditions from them.Blog Archive
